Necklace in Whites

White Agate Necklace

I enjoy working with a wide variety of colors and enjoy finding new and unusual ways to mix colors and patterns.  However, once in a while, I am inspired to stay within a very simple color palette, in this case – mostly whites, with bits of tans and silver.  At the center of this necklace is a large textured sterling silver bead.  On either side, are two large white agate beads.  The white agate beads are the ones that inspired this necklace.  I got them at a bead store in Staunton, VA during a trip when my beads and I were on the go.

I added matte clear glass, white mother of pearl, landscape stone, and silver spacer beads.  Interest is brought to the quiet color palette by a mixture of shapes, sizes, and textures.  I felt a handmade sterling silver toggle clasp was the perfect finishing touch.
