The Shrine of Wayward Times

I love things that look (or are) old, like artifacts from another time. This Buddha piece is contemporary but has an old world feel. I didn’t want to drill a hole in it, so I chose a prong setting. I created the base out of brass. I wrote on it and the etched it. You can barely see my words. They just leave the slightest bit of texture. I also darkened the brass, set the amulet and added a chain and clasp. I have two more of amulets similar to this and will probably do something similar. Meanwhile, here’s to wayward times.
