I just returned from two weeks at Penland School of Crafts studying enameling. Here I am in the upper metal studio, it is upstairs from lower metals, hence the name. The first time I studied at Penland, I was amazed and mystified at the tools. Now, some years later, I know what most of them are even if I don’t have experience using them all. And, Penland keeps improving and adding tools – one reason it is a pleasure to study there.
I’ve been working on expanding my enamel skills. Here’s some other happenings from the bead and craft world.
